Job Summary

Key account sales specialist would be responsible for helping Baker Distributing grow sales to key account(s) by providing quotations, sales support, technical support, logistical information, pricing information, product information, etc. to key / target account customers.

Essential Duties/Accountabilities

  • Assist with all duties and expectations as needed associated with the fulfillment of key account orders and growing sales to target customers.
  • Assist with refrigeration load sizing programs including E-Load and Heatcraft ProSelect, etc.
  • Foster refrigeration and other vendor / partner relationships are necessary to support key accounts.
  • Provide account manager order entry and logistical support to allow them more face time with customers and more time to identify new opportunities.
  • Email pricing updates and company specials applicable to the area and customers weekly.
  • Review pricing profiles of key accounts for opportunities to increase margins.
  • Identify what our competitors are doing best as opportunities for Baker to capture more market share.
  • Participate in industry training offered by vendors.
  • All currently assigned CRD customers could be targets for increased revenue due to higher customer service levels and the frequency of sales calls.
  • Additional target accounts could be developed that are currently unassigned or out of standard Baker territory such as national accounts Baker Distributing may be able to ship to.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2-4 years of refrigeration experience
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: sales, operations, purchasing, or inventory management
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Experience with Mincron/AS400 systems
  • Experience in sales, problem-solving, and customer service environments
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field is preferred, but not required
  • Technical Certifications related to refrigeration or HVAC are preferred, but not required
  • Mechanical or technical background or training is preferred, but not required
  • Preferred experience demonstrating commitment to continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and leadership development
