About the Role
The Key Account Manager – Zimbabwe will be responsible for managing and growing strategic client relationships within the Zimbabwean market. This role serves as the primary commercial and relationship interface between the organisation and its banking, enterprise, and government-linked clients.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic clients within Zimbabwe, including banks, large merchants, and key partners.
  • Build trusted, long-term relationships with senior client stakeholders.
  • Act as the main escalation point for complex client issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain a high level of client satisfaction through proactive account management.

Revenue Growth & Account Development

  • Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell payment solutions across the existing client base.
  • Lead commercial discussions including contract renewals, pricing negotiations, and service agreements.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned to regional growth objectives.

Market & Regulatory Alignment

  • Maintain a strong understanding of the Zimbabwean payments landscape, regulatory frameworks, and card scheme requirements.
  • Ensure solutions and services align with local regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Provide client and market feedback to internal teams to support product development and service improvements.

Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with technical, onboarding, operations, and support teams to deliver seamless client experiences.
  • Participate in service review meetings and executive reporting.
  • Support internal discussions relating to product roadmaps and market opportunities.

Key Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Key Account Management, Client Relationship Management, or similar roles within the payments, fintech, or financial services sector.
  • Proven experience managing enterprise or banking clients within African markets.
  • Experience working with payment gateways, card acquiring, eCommerce payments, POS, or mPOS solutions.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and relationship-building ability.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple strategic accounts.

Education

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
