Second Foundation is an international energy trader and asset manager with around 350 employees at locations in Prague, Zug, Mainz, Berlin, Houston and Tokyo. Second Foundation offers comprehensive marketing services on day-ahead, intraday and ancillaryservice markets for renewable energies, battery storages and other flexible assets. Using our innovative trading algorithms and profound market expertise, we maximize the returns of the assets we manage across various energy markets. Since 2023, we have also been investing in our own battery storage systems and have already built up a portfolio of 15 projects with a capacity of over 500 MW in development.

As B2B Key Account Manager at Second Foundation, you will actively write our success story in the energy transitionTogether with your team, you will bring our trading and balancing energy services to the operators of battery storage systems, biogas plants, CHP plants and other flexible producers and consumers With our technical expertise and proven trading algorithms, we offer you a convincing basis for successful sales

What you would work on?

• Leading sales activities for our flexibility portfolio.
• Contributing to the development and implementation of sales strategies for our ‘Trading as a Service’ offering.
• Identifying and acquiring new customers in the field of battery storage and medium-size power plant operators.
• Independently conducting contract negotiations and designing individual marketing solutions.
• Building and maintaining long-term customer relationships with operators, project developers and investors.
• Creating compelling offers and presentations based on concrete performance data from our existing portfolio.
• Analyzing customer requirements and working closely with our analytics team to develop tailored marketing strategies.
• Representing Second Foundation at conferences, trade fairs and industry events.
• Monitoring market developments and competitor activities.

• Professional experience in B2B sales in the energy sector.
• In-depth understanding of energy markets and trading products.
• Strong technical understanding of power plants and storage technologies.
• Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
• Initiative, entrepreneurial thinking and goal-oriented approach.
• Willingness to travel within Germany.
• Fluent German and at least basic English language skills.
• Class B driving license.
