Job Description

Your impact begins here

As Key Account Manager Obesity, you will turn Novo’s national Business Development strategy into partnerships that improve access to obesity care across part of Budapest and North-Eastern Hungary. You will build trusted relationships with private healthcare institutions, physicians, pharmacies, municipalities and employers, and deliver measurable commercial outcomes, including agreed Rare Disease objectives. Your work helps more people living with serious chronic diseases reach the care and support they need, starting now.

What you’ll bring

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of pharmaceutical and/or healthcare sales experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in multi-level institutional relationship building, structured follow-up, cross-functional collaboration and negotiation.
  • Practical CRM and commercial data analysis skills, and the ability to manage a territory independently.
  • Professional Hungarian communication and sufficient English for internal collaboration and business documentation.
  • A valid driving licence and willingness to travel regularly within your territory.
  • Integrity and execution discipline: you protect confidentiality, respect clinical independence, raise concerns promptly and manage competing priorities with the right escalation.

Useful, but not essential:

  • Key account management and project management experience.
  • Experience with private healthcare institutions, clinic networks, obesity, metabolic disease or relevant specialty care.

What you’ll do

You will own your account portfolio from first conversation to follow-through, making sure every partnership has a clear plan, a clear owner and results you can measure.

  • Assess your territory, prioritise accounts and maintain a qualified pipeline of Obesity and Rare Disease opportunities.
  • Prepare annual account plans, turn them into quarterly priorities and keep CRM records accurate, so commitments are documented and followed up.
  • Develop collaborations with private healthcare institutions, understand how they work and how obesity care is delivered, and coordinate eligible direct-sales opportunities, including Clinics2Win where applicable.
  • Act as the primary coordinating contact for each partner, from initial engagement through proposal, approval, implementation, review and renewal or closure, resolving operational issues and escalating risks.
  • Engage physicians with approved, accurate and fair information, coordinate educational activities, and refer scientific enquiries outside the commercial remit to Medical.
  • Deliver approved local projects with pharmacies, municipalities, employers and other organisations, with clear briefs, budgets, milestones and success measures.
  • Promote and sell assigned products to eligible professional customers within approved parameters, and follow all requirements for promotion, contracting, privacy, safety reporting and product quality complaints.

Who you’ll work with

You will join Business Development Obesity where colleagues connect commercial strategy, medical affairs and business development across therapy areas. You will report to the Associate Director, Rare Disease & Business Development Obesity, and work alongside other Key Account Managers, national account owners, and the Obesity and Rare Disease team.

Your territory covers part of Budapest and North-Eastern Hungary, as defined by management. For multi-site institutions and national partners, you will coordinate local implementation with the designated national account owner. Externally, you will partner with private healthcare chains, clinics and medical centres, physicians and specialists, pharmacy chains, municipalities, employers and approved access partners.

Internally, you will work with Obesity Sales Teams, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Market Access, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Regulatory, Supply Chain and customer service. You will influence without formal authority, clarify who owns what, and keep work moving with clarity and pace. Regular travel within your territory and attendance at relevant national meetings are part of the role.

What you can expect here

You will be trusted to take ownership of your accounts and make your voice heard, with clear performance expectations and a team that supports you to perform at your best. The role gives you the chance to work across functions, build new skills and grow alongside colleagues who share the same goal: progress for people living with serious chronic diseases.

The annual gross salary range for this role is HUF 12,458,000 – 20,550,000.

The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other em-ployee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market bench-marks.
