Job Title
Key Account Manager – New Equipment (Elevator Business)
The Key Account Manager – New Equipment is responsible for driving sales growth of elevator and escalator new installations by managing and developing strategic key accounts. This role focuses on Major Projects, Large Projects and Key Account's projects, building long-term relationships with major developers, contractors, consultants, and owners, ensuring sustainable business growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Account & Relationship Management
Manage and develop assigned key accounts including major property developers, main contractors, consultants, and end-users
Establish strong, long-term relationships with senior decision-makers and influencers
Act as the primary point of contact for strategic customers in the new equipment business
Sales & Business Development
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned key accounts
Develop account strategies to maximize market penetration and project pipeline
Drive sales activities from early project identification through contract negotiation and order intake
Achieve assigned sales targets (order intake, revenue, margin)
Project & Tender Management
Lead tender preparation and commercial negotiations in coordination with technical, engineering, and operations teams
Ensure accurate project costing, pricing strategy, and risk assessment
Support smooth handover from sales to project execution teams
Market & Stakeholder Engagement
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs within the new equipment segment
Represent the company in customer meetings, industry events, and key negotiations
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (engineering, operations, finance, legal) to deliver customized solutions
Reporting & Compliance
Maintain accurate CRM data, sales pipeline forecasting, and key account plans
Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and safety requirements
Provide regular sales and market reports to management
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
New equipment order intake and revenue growth
Key account penetration and retention
Sales pipeline accuracy and conversion rate
Customer satisfaction and long-term partnership development
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
Minimum 5–10 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in elevators, vertical transportation, construction equipment, or building solutions
Proven experience managing key accounts and large-scale construction projects
Strong negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
Good relations and wide networking with Developers, M/E Consultants, Architects and QS
Technical & Professional Skills
Strong understanding of elevator / escalator solutions and construction project cycles
Commercial acumen with ability to manage complex tenders and contracts
Proficiency in CRM systems and MS Office
Excellent communication skills in English (local language proficiency is an advantage)
