Röhlig Penske Logistics is a joint venture between Röhlig Logistics and Penske Logistics and builds on the successful cooperation between the two logistics companies in serving common customers in Europe. Röhlig Penske Logistics offers warehouse space, transport management and e-commerce logistics at its locations in Nettetal, Germany and Roosendaal, The Netherlands. 100 employees work at the two locations.

To strengthen our Freight Management team we are looking for a

Key Account Manager, freight management

m/f/x – fulltime – location Roosendaal

What you will do:

• Ensure operational support is effectively coordinated with the dedicated Customer Service and Carrier Management teams, follow up on recurring service issues, ensure lasting solutions, and escalate issues when necessary;
• Monitor contract- incl. carrier performance, initiate improvement projects and follow up on solutions implemented;
• Measure and report on KPI’s in line with SLA and organize MBR’s and QBR’s with customer;
• Identify sales opportunities and manage contract extensions of managed customers;
• Prepare the business plans of the customer and be direct profit & loss responsible.

What you bring:

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role (as account- and/or freight operations manager) within an international logistics company;
• Educated to at least HBO level, preferably commercial and/or logistics;
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills;
• Strong interpersonal, commercial and negotiation skills;
• Ability to make self-reliant quality decision, favoring all parties (customer, carrier, company), while meeting deadlines and targets.
