Key Account Manager (all genders)

The role of Key Account Manageris responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving relations with a limited number of key-accounts to keep or to set Philips as preferred supplier. Initiates and coordinates all Philips efforts to the accounts to maximize the output of the sales group.

Creates an account plan for each key-account in which budgeted targets are translated into specific strategy and actions per account as part of the operational plan of the sales group.

Drives the performance of the functions in the key-account team to get it done. Systematically analyzes and reports sales results, expectations, market, competition, and trends to make proposals for improvement.

Develops Personal Health portfolio presence on dedicated channel by managing and optimizing sales volumes, prices, and profit margin.


Your role:

  • Building effective cooperative business relationship with the clients.

  • Planning executing long-term sales strategies and marketing initiatives both online and offline.

  • Systematically analyzing and reporting sales results, expectations, market, competition, and trends.

  • Taking initiative and identifying improvements in actual way of working. Formulating alternatives and recommendations in order to business development.

  • Accountable for achieving budgeted sales volumes, prices, and profit margin at a specified number of customers and accountable for managing the sales orders.

  • Coordination of all internal necessary resources to obtain objectives and where necessary involves local sales force and marketing support, such as Category Management, Trade marketing.

  • Ensuring continuity of the relationship with the accounts and operating at the highest level in the accounts' organizations, but also facilitating the executive level interfaces between the company and the accounts if necessary.

  • Preparing annual account plan in line with the national account plan strategy and implementing the sales strategy.

  • Contributing to the development and implementation of local marketing strategies.

  • Initiating and negotiating tailor made actions, discussion with customers or store managers about sales actions.

  • Ensuring availability of goods/deliverables in cooperation with order desk and logistics.


You're the right fit if you have:

  • University degree.

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Sales/Key Account Manager’s role (preferably in consumer electronics).

  • Experience in complex, international, matrix environment.

  • Very good internal / external relationship.

  • Ability to work outside the scope of job responsibilities.

  • Good experience in Sales & Account Management.

  • Exceptional negotiation skills.

  • Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills.

  • Energetic, dynamic, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and effective team player.

  • Good English both written and verbal.

  • Excellent command of MS Office.
