How You'll Make an Impact

As a Key Account Manager, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, driving strategic growth, profitability, and long-term value creation across Lubrizol's most important customer accounts within the Lubrizol Additives business. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing, and enhance modern life. In this role, you will:

  • Own the overall business performance of assigned strategic accounts, driving revenue growth, profitability, market share expansion, customer retention, and long-term value creation.
  • Develop and execute multi-year strategic account plans aligned with customer priorities and Lubrizol growth objectives.
  • Build and lead a robust opportunity pipeline by identifying new applications, commercialization opportunities, and market expansion strategies.
  • Lead strategic commercial pursuits from opportunity identification through negotiation, contract closure, and commercialization.
  • Establish trusted relationships with executive, procurement, technical, operations, and commercial stakeholders within customer organizations.
  • Drive consultative value-selling strategies and pricing excellence to strengthen competitiveness and profitability.
  • Provide market, technology, regulatory, and competitive insights that support business planning and portfolio development.
  • Lead cross-functional teams across Sales, Technology, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Product Management, Regulatory, and Legal functions to deliver superior customer outcomes.
  • Mentor commercial professionals and contribute to a culture of accountability, customer-centricity, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications that Enable Your Success

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 10 to 12+ years of experience in lubricant additives, specialty chemicals, lubricants, automotive, industrial, energy, or related industries in strategic sales, business development, key account management, or commercial leadership roles.
  • Proven success managing large, complex, high-value strategic accounts and consistently delivering revenue growth, margin expansion, and profitable business development.
  • Experience commercializing innovative technologies, products, and customer-centric solutions.
  • Strong background in commercial negotiations, contract management, and executive stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience working successfully within global matrix organizations and influencing senior stakeholders across functions and geographies.
  • Demonstrated expertise in strategic account leadership, commercial excellence, value selling, pricing strategy, negotiation, market analysis, and cross-functional leadership.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and relationship management capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications that Drive You Forward

Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Management, Marketing, Strategy, or Commercial Leadership.

Experience leading complex global customer relationships and strategic growth programs.

Demonstrated mentoring and coaching experience within commercial organizations.
