Job Description

Key Account Manager
Bratislava, Slovakia

Shape the future of obesity and diabetes care in Slovakia – and help more patients access treatments that can transform their lives. If you are a driven sales professional who thrives on building meaningful relationships with healthcare experts, this is your opportunity to make a tangible difference.

Your new role
As Key Account Manager for our Cardiometabolic portfolio in Bratislava, you will be at the frontline of Novo Nordisk's growth in Slovakia. Reporting to the Manager, Cardiometabolic Sales, you will own your territory, deliver on ambitious sales targets and build lasting partnerships with healthcare professionals in obesity and diabetes care.

Day-to-day your tasks will include:

  • Analyzing and diagnosing your territory, then building and executing a strong key account plan to unlock business potential and grow Novo Nordisk's market share
  • Engaging with HCPs, KOLs and prescribers – including physicians, nurses and pharmacists – to share product, device and disease knowledge, and ensure consistent follow-up
  • Planning, organizing and delivering educational events and promoting Novo Nordisk products at medical events across your territory
  • Monitoring sales performance, identifying growth drivers and market opportunities, and acting quickly to remove negative variances
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Market Access and CMR colleagues to maximize the impact of the Novo Nordisk portfolio
  • Keeping customer contacts, activities and Sales Effectiveness data accurate and up to date, and reporting regularly to your line manager

Your new department
As part of International Operations, you will join our largest operational unit. Covering 194 countries and 95% of the world's population, more than 18,000 of us work passionately to serve 35 million patients each day. With a promise to outperform the competition, we continue to be the growth driver for Novo Nordisk, and to improve health at scale across the globe.

Within International Operations, you will join our affiliate in Slovakia and become part of the Cardiometabolic Sales team – a close-knit group focused on expanding access to treatments in obesity and diabetes. Working closely with colleagues across all departments in NN Slovakia, you will bring the Novo Nordisk Way to life every day and play a direct role in reaching more patients across the country.

Your skills & qualifications
We are looking for an ambitious, customer-focused professional who combines strong commercial instincts with genuine care for patients. To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • A university degree, preferably in natural sciences or healthcare
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a field-based commercial role – ideally as a Key Account Manager or Sales Representative in the pharmaceutical industry – with a proven track record of achievement
  • Based in the Bratislava region, with excellent knowledge of the local healthcare environment and strong professional relationships with general practitioners and pharmacies in the region
  • Established contacts with the physicians and healthcare facilities – particularly in diabetology, endocrinology and internal medicine – considered a strong advantage
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust and long-term relationships with healthcare professionals
  • Strategic and analytical thinking, combined with the ability to independently plan regional activities with a clear focus on achieving results
  • A driver´s license, willingness to travel across the territory, good working knowledge of English and confident use of MS Office
