A new opportunity has arisen for a skilled Key Account Manager/ Sales Manager like you, to oversee and bring expertise to our team. This person will be brought in to further develop, manage and be responsible for the sales of our PowerGen product and solutions.


Rolls-Royce Power Systems is headquartered in Friedrichshafen in southern Germany and employs around 9,000 people. The product portfolio includes mtu-brand high-speed engines and propulsion systems for ships, power generation, heavy land, rail and defence vehicles and for the oil and gas industry as well as diesel and gas systems and battery containers for mission critical, standby and continuous power, combined generation of heat and power, and microgrids.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible to manage our Global Data Center Key Accounts for their APAC business.
  • Work in a team that quotes and delivers Power Generation Solutions for Data Center accounts with a focus on Mission Critical Emergency Backup.
  • Be part of our global Key Account Management team and work closely together with our colleagues in EMEA and NALA to strategically manage and develop the accounts for the APAC region.
  • Responsibility for achieving sales targets set for our Data Center Key Accounts, targeting Direct Sales Turn-Key Solutions in APAC.
  • You will front the business in all discussions and negotiations with customers for Emergency Backup Solutions and work with the team to prepare quotations for customers; including preparing for and managing key customers through business review meetings and other avenues.
  • Liaise and consolidate quotations for third party supplies, and engage with Sales Engineering for confirming the technical details for the scope of supply.
  • Actively promoting MTU products and solutions through business & market development through the use of competitive analysis, generation of leads and the positioning of MTU technology.
  • Ensuring that Sales Information (CEC, Market Data, Price Levels, Technical Requirements, etc) and information for Inventory Planning (MRF) are accurately entered and up to date.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Diploma/Degree in Engineering
  • At least 4 years of experience in B2B sales or account management in the field of Industrial, Electrical, Power Systems, Energy, Construction, O&G sectors.
  • Strong human relations skills, self-driven for taking initiative, team player with good interpersonal skills.
  • Good analytical skills, result-oriented, working independently, contribution to team success.
  • Excellent track record in achieving business targets, strategy development and successful execution.
  • Customer focus with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent in networking with external customers and internal stakeholders.
  • High integrity and good work ethics.
