Job Description

Join our team and play a crucial role in shaping the future of our customer relationships while driving sales growth across Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH region). We are seeking a motivated Key Account Manager to manage relationships and sales projects with Key End User accounts. This critical role focuses on growing total sales, increasing share of wallet within named accounts, and driving new direct end-user sales. You are a travel enthusiast who enjoys meeting and working with people.

The Department and Team

You will be part of the DACH Sales team, working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment across the region. You’ll collaborate closely with sales representatives, engineers, tech-partner managers, and channel managers, and report directly to the Sales Manager DACH. Together, you’ll work towards achieving the objectives of the DACH region, ensuring sales growth and customer satisfaction.

Roles and Responsibilities

As a Key Account Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Decide & manage a sales strategy to Work with specific Key End User accounts to grow Milestone sales within these companies.
  • Drive new sales to Milestone through direct end user relationship building
  • Manage need and future developments of these specific accounts.
  • Work with the sales team to ensure proper coverage at these accounts.
  • Ensure proper support of these accounts.
  • Look to work with the Milestone ecosystem to grow overall sales.
  • Have an additional focus on retail type customer base.
  • Coordinate with sales, pre-sales, community, marketing colleagues to ensure success through teamwork

Tasks

  • Leverage the CRM to grow, maintain, and develop all aspects of end users and project development.
    • Meet quarterly with the leadership at these accounts with quarterly updates.
    • Manage project funnel for these accounts.
    • Visit key national and regional leaders within these accounts.
    • Identify and connect with possible new end user accounts.
    • Develop significant new business through direct end user contact.
    • Engaging and working with local consultants.
    • Manage larger RFP/RFI projects and POCs.
    • Hold monthly alignment meetings with the local sales team to ensure smooth operations.

The ideal candidate brings the following experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years selling into the National Account community and large End customers.
  • Holding a large, up to date, professional network.
  • Complete knowledge of the commercial security industry.
  • Exceptional presentation skills.
  • History of supporting multiple large customers on a national scale.
  • History of meeting and exceeding expectations.
  • Willingness of travel exceed 50%.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce (or other CRM).
  • Fluent in German and English as a must, additional languages would be an advantage
  • Living in North Rhine-Westphalia near the Milestone DACH office in Düsseldorf is an advantage, but not a requirement.
