Job Description

Our client is a leading company with over 1,300 employees, specializing in providing cleaning and personnel leasing services to factories (70% of the business) and engineering and technical services to factories (about 30%). They have two companies in Germany that specialize in cleaning river canals. They also do water maintenance, urban tree plantings, landscaping, and hydraulic engineering among other services.

They are currently seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to join their team in Berlin. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical or engineering background (e.g., civil engineering or related technical fields) and proven experience in sales within similar industries.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Business Development: Drive business growth through large-scale transactions and by introducing new services to both existing and potential clients.

  • End-to-End Sales Management: Manage the full sales cycle, including lead generation, cold outreach, prospecting, negotiation, and closing deals.

  • Account Management & Expansion: Oversee both new and existing client accounts, identify opportunities for upselling, and ensure the achievement of planned revenue margins.

  • Collaboration with Service Leaders: Work closely with internal service leaders to support business expansion, set pricing strategies for new services, and assist in high-level sales presentations.

  • Revenue and Billing Oversight: Monitor revenue billing processes in collaboration with chief engineers.

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3+ years of B2B sales and client development experience.

  • Proven track record in managing the full sales cycle and overseeing a client portfolio.

  • A technical or engineering background, with an understanding of civil engineering or related fields.

  • Experience in industries such as construction, civil engineering, manufacturing, landscaping, or industrial cleaning is highly preferred.

  • Previous experience working with government clients (e.g., Senate) is a plus.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Fluency in both German and English is required.
