As an Automation Sales Engineer for the Electronics & Light Assembly (ELA) segment, you will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying and winning new opportunities in automation applications. You will work closely with OEMs, system integrators, and end users to promote Festo solutions, influencing design specifications and ensuring customer satisfaction through technical and commercial expertise.
Develop business opportunities and grow market share in the Electronics and Light Assembly (ELA) segments
Identify, pursue, and convert new customers, projects, and applications in target industries
Hunt for new opportunities by influencing OEMs, system integrators, and end users to specify Festo solutions
Build and maintain strong customer relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders
Develop and execute account plans to achieve sales growth and customer satisfaction
Collaborate with internal departments and the regional sales team to deliver competitive and effective solutions
Prepare and follow up on quotations, proposals, and contract negotiations
Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and provide technical advice to customers
Track and report sales pipeline, opportunities, and activities through CRM systems
Achieve assigned sales targets, KPIs, and business development objectives
Provide input on market trends and propose improvement ideas to enhance customer experience and internal processes
Contribute to digitalization initiatives and hybrid sales models to support business growth
Perform other related duties as assigned by the ELA Sales Manager
Diploma or Degree in Automation, Electrical, Process Engineering, or Mechatronics
Postgraduate studies in Technical Business or Business Administration is an advantage
3–7 years of relevant experience in technical sales, business development, or engineering roles
Experience in factory automation, pneumatics, or industrial equipment is preferred
Strong understanding of customer needs in the Electronics and Light Assembly industry
Familiar with automation components and solutions
Knowledge of project management is an advantage
Proficient in CRM tools and Microsoft Office applications
Able to identify customer challenges and propose practical automation solutions
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
