Job Purpose

Experienced Strategic Accounts Manager to drive business growth in the Defense/Military Logistics sector. This role offers the unique opportunity to build lasting client relationships while contributing to critical defense logistics projects. This position offers from Sales, Account Management, Strategic Planning, client site visits, networking events, and proposal development.

Should work on collaborative environment where the candidates contribution directly impacts company growth. While based in our office, this role involves regular travel to client sites and industry events, relationship-builder with defense industry experience and a passion for driving business growth.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Build & Expand: Identify and develop new client relationships in the defense sector, with a goal of adding new customers
  • Manage & Grow: Nurture existing accounts and expand opportunities within current client organizations, driving
  • Deliver Excellence: Oversee proposal development and collaborate with our internal teams to create winning bids that meet client needs and company profitability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage customer interactions including fostering relationships, making customer calls and closing deals
  • Regular customer visits and potential clients within assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with manager to ensure alignment with branch strategies in forecasting, business planning, and pipeline development
  • Demonstrate solid decision-making skills and ability to prioritize ever-changing daily tasks
  • Work closely with other internal departments to ensure a seamless and positive customer experience
  • Consult with several levels of decision-makers and buying influences to understand customers’ business challenges and supply chain goals
  • Ability to develop tailored solutions that deliver value and support the customer’s business strategy
  • Expected to bring own contribution not only by consistently achieving net revenue targets, but also by sharing opinions and ideas, as well as best practices, to support the success of the entire team and the Branch/Countries they work with
  • Prospect, plan and conduct face to face visits with new prospective customers within Branch territory
  • Remain engaged with customers to maintain relationship and ensure ongoing success of accounts in collaboration with local assigned Account Executive/Account Manager
  • Follow up and respond to sales leads generated by overseas offices or assigned by your Manager.
  • Attend training sessions created to enhance relevant knowledge and skills
  • Co-ordinate quotes with CS Team and facilitate the transition of new customers to the local Account Executive/Account Manager

Education and Experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience in Defense Logistics
  • Minimum 2+ years in sales and relationship management
  • Master’s Degree in logistics, business or equivalent

Specialist Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other IT related tools
  • Advanced knowledge of logistical concepts and supply chain terminology
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Self-driven, results-orientated individual with a positive outlook and clear focus on high quality and business profitability
  • Keen sense for business development with a clear “hunter” mentality
  • Business development and account management experience preferred
  • Multiple Account Management Experience preferred
