Job Description

ABOUT XCEPTOR

Data is at the heart of everything we do: Xceptor has been designed around data manipulation in its broadest sense. We source data from wherever it flows. We curate, normalise, validate, repair, and enrich that data so it reaches its destination in a reliable and consistent format. Data coming out of Xceptor is data our clients can trust.

We are recognised as an expert in the Financial Services vertical, which strongly aligns with Business Users in Middle and Back-Office teams. We enable these users to solve their data challenges by themselves, rather than through a technology-led project.

Our mission - we empower business users within financial institutions to build automated processes that deliver trusted data.

Our values sit at the heart of our business, driving who we are and how we work. At Xceptor, we are:

  • Client Centric; we prioritise our Clients’ experience and needs.
  • One Team; we actively support one another to achieve our goals.
  • Impactful; we focus, we innovate, we make every minute matter.

🚀 Your Role

Base: $160,000 - £200,000

OTE: $320,000 - $400,000

Reporting to our North America Revenue Leader and based in our New York office (hybrid), you’ll join our key account revenue team, driving growth across leading sell-side financial institutions and investment banks.

You’ll own a portfolio of strategic accounts, building senior relationships and identifying and closing expansion opportunities across our existing sell-side client base.

This is a role for a senior strategic salesperson with deep sell-side capital markets expertise. You understand the challenges facing investment banks and broker-dealers, including operational complexity, regulatory demands, data volumes, and the drive to automate across the trade lifecycle.

You’ll be equally comfortable with C-suite executives and senior business leaders as you are working with operations and technology teams. You’ll bring the credibility, commercial expertise, and industry knowledge to represent Xceptor at the highest level.

🧩 What You’ll Be Doing

  • Own and grow a portfolio of key sell-side bank accounts across North America.
  • Hit an ambitious annual revenue target through upselling and new business within existing accounts.
  • Lead the full sales cycle from identifying the right client solutions, through demos and workshops to closing the contract.
  • Build world class relationships with senior decision-makers shaping strategy inside organisations.

🎯 Who we're looking for

  • A minimum of 8+ years of selling enterprise software into sell-side banks.
  • An extensive successful track record of selling complex B2B SaaS products.
  • Outstanding expertise in identifying, growing, and managing key accounts.
  • Strong expertise in running a structured sales methodology such as MEDDICC (or equivalent), with a clear ability to qualify, forecast, and manage complex enterprise deals.
  • Deep experience navigating stakeholders across complex sell-side banking institutions and the wider financial services industry.
  • Solutions-first mindset with a strong record of hitting or beating quota.
  • Real gravitas - comfortable engaging senior stakeholders and holding your own in the room.
  • Confidence delivering standout product presentations, running client workshops, and building compelling use cases.
  • Sharp communication and interpersonal skills, with genuine client-facing flair.
  • An analytical, creative thinker who builds solutions that solve the problem.

🌍 Diversity & Inclusion at Xceptor

We believe great ideas come from everywhere — and that the best teams are made up of people with different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. At Xceptor, we’re committed to building a workplace where everyone feels welcome, valued, and empowered to be themselves.

We know that not everyone ticks every single box in a job description — and that’s okay. If you’re excited about this role and think you could make a difference, we’d love to hear from you. Your unique skills and experiences might be just what we need, even if you don’t meet every requirement.

We celebrate diversity and are dedicated to creating an inclusive environment for all employees — regardless of race, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, religion, or background.

🌗 Hybrid at Xceptor

We love the buzz of the office and the flexibility of home—so at Xceptor, you get the best of both. Our people spend 2-3 days per week in the office collaborating, brainstorming, and connecting in person. The rest is up to you. It’s all about great teamwork, balanced with the freedom to work your way.

About Xceptor

Our mission is to empower financial services companies to build automated processes that deliver trusted data and create better customer outcomes. At the same time, we aim to increase our clients’ productivity, reduce their time-to-market, and optimize their operational processes.

Essentially, we make the lives of our clients, and their customers, easier. Our platform and products provide financial services teams with the digital skills they need to succeed in the digitized world we now live in. Automated data is fast becoming a critical necessity for financial institutions as demand for trusted data automation grows. As trade volume increases, so does the number of transactions that are processed. This creates the need for increasingly complex regulations. As such, decoupling data from processes is no longer a viable option for financial services companies. That’s why we’ve created a platform that automates the processing of data while ensuring all compliance is met. In turn, we deliver a higher return on our clients’ investments along with faster times to market.

We understand the evolving needs of the markets, and so we’re able to provide our clients with products that enhance the most critical and complex processes, all through an exceptionally configurable platform. Our products help companies convert structured, semi-structured and unstructured, multiple-format and fragmented data into trusted, reliable sources. The comprehensive, end-to-end nature of our products has enabled us to become a leader in the financial services market.
