About the Role

As a Key Account Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting strategically important customers across the region. You will work closely with Sales, our Key Accounts, Customer Service, Allocations and Supply Chain teams to ensure orders are executed efficiently, projects run smoothly, and customers receive a consistently high level of service.


This role has a strong day-to-day operational focus, ensuring the right product is delivered at the right time while minimising disruption for major customer projects. At the same time, you will identify opportunities to improve processes, remove inefficiencies, and contribute to the broader regional commercial strategy.

You will build strong relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders to deliver optimal outcomes for both the customer and Heidelberg Materials.

Key Responsibilities

Customer & Sales Partnership

  • Act as a trusted operational partner for Key Account customers and the Sales team.

  • Maintain proactive and professional communication with customers to support project planning and execution.

  • Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders across customer organisations.

  • Participate in regular meetings with Sales to review projects, forecast volumes, and identify priorities.

Operational Execution

  • Manage and review forward orders to ensure accuracy and alignment with customer expectations.

  • Improve alignment between planned and actual delivery cycle times.

  • Work closely with Allocations and Supply Chain teams to minimise late loads and onsite waiting times.

  • Proactively communicate with customers.

  • Support the coordination of major pours and critical project deliveries.

  • Ensure project geofences and orderbook details are maintained to maximise system and operational efficiency.

Continuous Improvement & Insights

  • Analyse performance across key customer projects to identify service and operational improvement opportunities.

  • Work with internal teams to reduce inefficiencies such as ghost or dummy orders.

  • Contribute ideas that enhance customer experience and operational performance.

  • Provide concise monthly reporting on customer activity, performance and improvement initiatives.

Customer Experience

  • Deliver a high standard of service that builds trust, reliability, and long-term partnerships with key customers.

  • Develop a strong understanding of customer businesses, projects and priorities.

  • Support initiatives that strengthen customer retention, increase share of wallet, and drive regional growth.

Skills & Experience

  • Approximately 5+ years’ experience in Supply Chain, customer operations, or a customer/supplier-facing role.

  • Experience within the logistics/supply chain, construction, infrastructure, or industrial sector highly regarded.

  • Strong ability to manage operational detail while maintaining awareness of broader commercial priorities.

  • Decisive and solutions-focused with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.

  • Confident communicator who can influence and collaborate across teams.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Experience working with ERP systems and operational software

  • Allocation or logistics scheduling experience is advantageous.
