Karns Animal Clinic is on the hunt for a full-time kennel technician to add to their fantastic team. At Karns Animal Clinic, we have a structure that makes for consistent, quality medical care, but no one has more fun in this adrenaline-filled, challenging job than we do!

This position supports pets staying in both our hospital and kennel. Among other responsibilities, a Kennel Tech:

  • Provides daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, and exercising
  • Cleans and sanitizes kennels, cages, and work areas to maintain a healthy environment
  • Monitors the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to the supervisor or veterinarian
  • Prepares animals for surgery by shaving, cleaning, and disinfecting surgical sites
  • Monitors anesthesia, vital signs, and patient status during surgery
  • Provides post-operative care, including monitoring recovery, managing pain, and dressing wounds
  • Sanitizes and packs surgical equipment
