Do you have a passion for animals and want to make a difference in the lives of pets while they are away from home? Animal Medical Center I-35 is looking for a compassionate, dependable, and self-motivated Part-Time Kennel Technician to join our team!

Our boarding pets deserve exceptional care, and we're looking for someone who takes pride in creating a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for every dog and cat in our care.

Schedule

• Part-time
• Weekend availability is required
• Additional weekday shifts may be available based on business needs

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional daily care for boarding pets
• Feed and provide fresh water according to instructions
• Walk dogs and monitor their well-being
• Supervise and participate in individual playtimes
• Administer medications as directed
• Bathe dogs prior to going home
• Perform nail trims and anal gland expressions
• Thoroughly clean and disinfect kennels and boarding areas
• Monitor pets for signs of illness or injury and communicate concerns to the veterinary team
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming boarding facility
• Help ensure every pet has a positive, low-stress boarding experience

Qualifications

• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Positive attitude with a genuine love for animals
• Excellent attention to detail
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Able to communicate professionally with team members
• Previous animal handling experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Frequently bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and lift
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable working around dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments
• Able to work in indoor and outdoor environments in various weather conditions
