• Location: Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) Lackland and Chapman Annex, Texas
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 06:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with potential for adjustments within a 40-hour work week.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in Military Working Dog kennels to ensure a healthy environment for the dogs and support mission readiness. This role involves regular sanitization, equipment checks, and adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct weekly sanitization of 26 kennel facilities using veterinary-approved methods.
• Ensure all equipment is checked for safety, including securing fittings and checking for leaks.
• Use provided cleaning solutions (soap, bleach, disinfectants) to clean kennels, removing all waste and sanitizing surfaces.
• Manage waste disposal correctly, ensuring no environmental contamination.
• Follow strict safety protocols, including the use of protective gear.
Qualifications:
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must pass Canine Handling and Kennel Sanitization Course (Company paid training, 5 days)
• Ability to follow detailed cleaning and safety procedures.
• Commitment to maintaining a professional appearance and adhering to base security and conduct rules.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and move cleaning equipment and waste.
• Stand for extended periods and work in potentially wet conditions.
