Reporting into the Practice Manager, the Kennel Assistant provides care to address the needs of patients that are visiting the practice for grooming and / or boarding. The Kennel Assistant ensures that the boarding area is clean and safe for all patients by cleaning cages, runs, and ward areas and washing laundry. The Kennel Assistant walks, feeds, and administers medication to patients (as needed and supervised by Doctor or Technician and based on confidence and experience). This role will be responsible for bathing and blow drying groom dogs, trimming nails, and expressing anal sacs + kennel responsibilities
Tentative schedule: Monday-Thursday 7a-1p & PM shift Thursday 3p-6p, Friday OFF. Every other weekend or every third weekend: Sat 8a-12p, Sat PM 4:30p-until finished, Sun 8a-until finished, 4:30-until finished
Must be available to work two holidays a year and 1-2 weekends per month
Will report to the practice manager and kennel lead
Pay $10 - $13
