Practice

Omro Animal Hospital was founded in 1954 as a mixed animal practice. As of 2007, the decision was made to make the practice a companion animal practice. We perform routine exams, vaccinations, and surgeries and have our Winneconne location that can do routine wellness exams by appointment.

We are excited to announce the construction of a brand-new facility! Our new home will help us continue to provide compassionate, quality pet care to our patients and the community.

More about the Role

The Kennel Attendant ensures the boarding area is clean and safe for all patients by cleaning cages, runs, and ward areas and washing laundry. This role would be an excellent entry job into the veterinary field, especially for a high school student. Anticipated schedule is 10-15 hours/week - 2pm-5pm Monday - Friday with no weekends.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Gather, wash, dry, fold, and put away laundry
  • Regularly clean, disinfect, and maintain kennels, cages, and runs as often as is necessary to ensure no cages are soiled and odors are not apparent
  • Wash and sterilize water and food bowls
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Ability to lift patients/objects up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients/objects over 25 pounds with assistance
  • Practices OSHA safety techniques including proper PPE
