Job Description

​At VCA Contra Costa Animal Hospital is adding a Kennel Assistant to our team!

Compensation : $ 21 - $ 24 / hr

Location : 1025 Country Club Dr, Moraga, CA 94556

As a Kennel Assistant you will support our team in providing the best medical care possible to our community. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Clean and disinfect kennels, cages, runs, and animal holding areas.
• Monitor dogs and cats as instructed.
• Feed and provide fresh water to all pets according to specific dietary needs.
• Assist with bathing and basic grooming of animals.
• Monitor animal behavior and report signs of illness or distress to veterinary staff.
• Ensure all animals are safe, secure, and comfortable during their stay.
• Maintain laundry, stock supplies, and ensure cleanliness of the kennel area.
• Support veterinary technicians and doctors with restraint during basic procedures as needed.
• Follow all safety protocols related to animal handling, sanitation, and disease prevention.
