SALARY:The hourly rate for this role is $18.00 per hour.

VACANCY TYPE:This posting reflects a vacant position.

SHIFT:

The role operates Monday to Sunday between 11:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., with shifts scheduled across these days and hours based on business needs.

Overtime Eligibility:This position is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable labour laws and pursuant with collective agreement. Overtime is paid at the legally required rate and may vary based on hours worked beyond the standard schedule

About Alexander Keith’s Brewery:
Located on historic Lower Water Street in Halifax, the Alexander Keith’s Brewery is home to our small batch brewing operation. We showcase‑ a broad spectrum of flavours by using local ingredients and innovative brewing techniques. In addition to brewing, we offer an award winning brewery tour that celebrates our rich heritage and passion for beer. As a multifaceted destination, we are committed to delivering exceptional brews, engaging entertainment, and an authentic Nova Scotian experience for every guest who walks through our doors—including a dedicated Alexander Keith’s Retail Store where guests can purchase‑ Keith’s beer and branded merchandise.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver a positive and engaging customer experience through service excellence in the Alexander Keith’s Retail Store
  • Assist customers with purchases by providing knowledgeable recommendations on beer, merchandise, and brewery tour offerings
  • Respond to customer inquiries via email and telephone in a professional and timely manner
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well stocked‑ retail environment
  • Complete daily opening and closing procedures
  • Represent Alexander Keith’s Brewery with professionalism, enthusiasm, and pride

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be 19 years of age or older
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Strong organizational skills with a positive, enthusiastic attitude
  • Previous retail or hospitality experience is considered an asset
  • Knowledge of brewing processes is considered an asset
