The Business Developer will be responsible for expanding the company’s presence in the Electric Vehicle Charging sector. While the initial focus is on the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), the position is open to candidates with strong experience and market knowledge in other geographic areas. Market assignment may be adjusted based on the candidate’s expertise and strategic opportunities.
Mission
Lead the expansion of the electric vehicle charger business in the DACHS area with a special focus in Germany in a profitable manner.
Specific Functions of Commercial Management:
Define the commercial strategy of the Electric Vehicle Charger (EVC) Business Unit in the DACHS area (pricing, conditions, product, channel, dissemination).
Coordinate and supervise the risk control criteria (legal, economic, operational) of contracts.
Build and manage long-term customer relationships, from technical engagement to commercial negotiation.
Participate in the strategic plan and annual management plan of the EVC Business Unit. Specifically monitor the objectives of the annual management plan identified for his/her area of responsibility.
Prepare those reports and activity monitoring reports defined by the EVC Business sales Management.
Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product after sales, and technical teams to support client needs.
Participate in the development of the product plan together with R&D and other areas.
Propose improvement actions in work systems and procedures.
Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and procedures in Occupational Risk Prevention, Quality, Environment, and Information Security from their role.
Education
Electrotechnical / electrical Engineering degree
IT skills (Office pack, CRM, Teams, SAP)
Job experience
Proven experience in sales and business development within the e-mobility sector in the DACH region, or in electrical industries with established relationships with utilities. Strong ability to manage and retain key accounts (KAM experience preferred).
Knowledge of EVC market in Germany and Central Europe: Players, brands, products, CPO’s, distributors, manufacturers, events, etc… Knowledge in EVC charger technology appreciated.
Experience in public tenders and attending Exhibitions and Seminars.
Experience defining sales strategies and market study. Capable to do market prospection and identify key opportunities.
Strong capability to act with influence and autonomy within complex client organizations, aligning needs and priorities across departments and levels of decision
