Our ABA Crisis Intervention Program (Kala No Limits) provides mobile, community-based, and in-home services for individuals with developmental disabilities and co-occurring mental health needs.
We are seeking motivated Behavioral Support Technicians to join our Sacramento-based crisis ABA team. This is a dynamic, field-based role working directly with clients in home and community settings, providing hands-on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) interventions, de-escalation support, and skill-building services. This position offers strong training, advancement opportunities, and the ability to grow your career in multiple clinical directions.

Position Summary
The Behavior Technician provides direct behavioral support and skill instruction to clients in home and community environments under clinical supervision. Staff implement behavior intervention plans, collect data, support daily functioning, and respond to behavioral escalations using ABA-based strategies. This role requires flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to work independently in the field while maintaining strong communication with the clinical team.

Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and current vehicle insurance
- Ability to travel to 1–3 client locations per day
- Ability to pass background clearance and reference checks
- Must be able to work Monday–Friday with potential evenings/weekends as needed
Preferred
- Minimum 6 months of ABA experience
- Minimum 6 months of experience supporting individuals with mental health or behavioral challenges
- Current or previous Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
Physical Requirements
- Ability to remain active and mobile throughout the workday in community and home settings
- Ability to de-escalate and safely respond to behavioral crises when needed
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and travel between multiple locations daily
- Ability to transport self between client sites using personal vehicle
Pre-Employment Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent verification
- Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
- Criminal background clearance
- Completion of onboarding and ABA training program
- Ongoing supervision and professional development participation
What You’ll Do
- Provide in-home and community-based ABA crisis intervention services
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under clinical direction
- Use ABA strategies to reduce behavioral escalation and support skill development
- Collect accurate behavioral data during all sessions
- Support clients experiencing developmental disabilities and mental health challenges
- Travel to multiple client locations daily (mileage reimbursed between shifts)
- Communicate regularly with clinical supervisors regarding progress, concerns, and treatment needs
- Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and professional development
- Support advancement opportunities including RBT certification and internal career growth
Compensation
- $20.00 – $27.00/hour depending on experience and certification
