Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Kairuruku - Research Assistant to join Te Tātai Hauora o Hine - National Centre for Women’s Health Research Aotearoa on an 18-month fixed-term, full-time contract. This is a position based at Pipitea Campus.

Key responsibilities:

  • Undertake administration activities directly related to research project meetings and research activities (as detailed in the Role Description).
  • Provide support to the project managers, including but not limited to supporting data collection and collation; supporting the provision and co-ordination of resources; supporting the up-keep of project-related documentation across projects.
  • Attend relevant research project meetings including face to face and virtual.

You will be a motivated individual with the relevant skills who can take the initiative, have excellent time management and can work independently but also collaborate as a team member.

Key requirements:

  • A tertiary qualification, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Understanding of kaupapa Māori research.
  • Interest in contributing to work that seeks to advance knowledges and upholds mana, whakapapa, and the aspirations of whānau for healthy futures.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good computer skills in using Microsoft applications.
