Salary
- As per the BMEA negotiated agreement
Primary Purpose
- Provide targeted reading and/or mathematics intervention for students in grades K�5 at Mespo Elementary School who require supplemental academic support through the district's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS).
- Collaborate with staff and families to improve student achievement through evidence-based instruction and ongoing progress monitoring.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide small-group and individual reading and/or mathematics intervention.
- Deliver district-approved intervention programs using evidence-based instructional practices.
- Progress monitor students and use assessment data to adjust instruction.
- Maintain accurate intervention records and MTSS documentation.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to align intervention with core instruction.
- Participate in MTSS, grade-level, and intervention team meetings.
- Communicate student progress with parents, teachers, and administrators.
- Assist in identifying students requiring Tier II and Tier III interventions.
- Support implementation of district literacy and mathematics initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with district policies and Ohio Department of Education and Workforce requirements.
- Participate in professional development and continuous improvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal.
Qualifications
- Valid Ohio Teaching License. (K-5)
- Knowledge of Ohio Learning Standards and evidence-based instructional practices.
- Experience with elementary literacy and/or mathematics intervention preferred.
- Knowledge of MTSS and student progress monitoring.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
