POSITION SUMMARY:
The K-12 Solutions Specialist focuses on removing barriers, solving problems, and organizing the school-level initiatives in coordination with system-level initiatives. The K-12 Solutions Specialist School does so by managing the administrative and operational logistics for K-12 initiatives and programs. This role requires organizational and programmatic excellence, including data analysis, daily problem-solving, and budget management. The person in this role will work in accordance with all applicable laws, guidelines, and UVA policies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
K-12 Principals, Administrative Support, and Project Management
- Oversees the overall K-12 school-level budgets
- Monitors budget and spending requests to ensure fiscal responsibility
- Implements systems and processes to streamline workflows and improve efficiency
- Collaborates with School leaders on the effectiveness of workflows and processes
- Conducts regular assessments on the integrity of program initiatives and structures
- Collaborates with all school leaders to troubleshoot issues/areas of need
- Serves as liaison between school leaders and human resources with position management and tracking, applicant processing (setting up interviews to hiring a candidate), onboarding new employees, and ensuring their acclimation to the academic center and the campus.
- Coordinates and manages conference logistics, including registrations, hotel accommodations, rental cars, and flight arrangements based on conference location and travel needs.
School- Leader Administrative Support
- Organize and streamline current school-year documents to maintain systems and folders throughout the school year.
- Create and maintain the current year schoolwide calendar, including testing windows, PD days, school events, and key deadlines.
- Assist with planning and coordination of instructional needs, including tracking staffing needs for the current school year based on intent to return completed by staff.
- Maintain and organize digital files, shared drives, and school documentation.
- Assist the principal with scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and tracking school initiatives.
- Maintain trackers and spreadsheets related to evaluations, staffing, and school operations.
- Schedules appointments and helps manage the all-school calendars
- Supports data entry and state reporting
- Attends school-level meetings as directed
- Support the preparation of reports, agendas, and materials for the leadership team and district meetings
- Tracks and maintains confidential records under applicable laws and regulations
- Assist with the coordination of schoolwide events, instructional initiatives, and planning projects
- Travels occasionally to support statewide mandated test administration and to participate in student-sponsored events
- Takes part in professional development meetings by planning, ordering materials, setting up the meeting, and participating in meetings
- Adheres to UVA’s procurement and requisition process
- Maintains good communication and working relationships with colleagues and external contacts
- Perform all other duties as assigned
