Being a part of Infobip Engineering Powerhouse means working on an in-house developed product and delivering solutions on a global level. As a Software Engineer, you will work as a full stack engineer with a strong focus on backend technologies, dedicated to your microservices and dealing with the challenges of large architecture that is scalable, balanced, sends over 500 million messages daily and helps our clients to grow their business.

It’s an opportunity to work in one of our requirement areas, so no matter if you are taking care that our infrastructure is set to place, if you work on the collection and analysis of data traffic, if you are responsible for connectivity and security towards operators or if you are developing custom communication channels, you are an equally important part of the story.

What will you do at Infobip

• You will develop, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot your team services.
• You will have full ownership of the code you produce.
• You will write well designed, testable, and scalable code by clean code principles.
• You will use modern development tools, including LLM coding assistants and agents, to improve your productivity and support high-quality delivery.
• You will have a general overview and understanding of the interactions and dependencies in the entire system.
• You will work on challenging engineering tasks with the support of your team and continue growing towards more autonomy.
• You will work as a full stack engineer with a strong focus on backend development, while also expanding your knowledge of databases, system design, alerting and monitoring tools and frontend development.
• You will work within the agile framework (Scrum, LESS) and have a dedicated Product Manager.
• You will participate with your team in agile practices such as sprint planning and retrospectives.
• You will give suggestions regarding architecture and service design.
• You will expand and improve your knowledge both internally and externally and be a part of the engineering community.

-> You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders (Product Manager) and team to understand customer needs and contribute ideas that shape and improve the quality of our solutions for customers worldwide.
-> You will develop a customer-centric mindset, understanding how your services impact end users and contributing to decisions that improve their experience.

Technical Impact
-> You will proactively identify opportunities to improve your services' quality, reliability, and customer experience, and advocate for them with your team and stakeholders.
-> You will use modern AI tools, including LLM coding assistants and agents (such as Claude Code, Codex, or similar), to accelerate your development and improve productivity.
-> You will apply AI-first thinking when approaching problems, effectively leveraging AI for code quality, testing, documentation, and day-to-day engineering tasks.

Team Impact
-> You will be engaged in the mentorship of junior engineers, helping them grow through guidance and code reviews.
-> You will communicate clearly and effectively with your team, Product Manager, and stakeholders, adapting to their needs and expectations
-> You will grow and support the growth of others by sharing and accepting feedback, learning from it, and offering coaching and guidance to your colleague

More about you

• You are a strong junior or mid professional with relevant engineering experience, looking for a high growth challenge.
• You have hands-on experience in backend development using Java or similar technologies in projects or production environments.
• You have practical experience with backend frameworks, preferably Spring and Spring Boot or similar.
• You have some experience with JavaScript, TypeScript and frontend development, preferably with React, Vue.js, Node.js or similar.
• You have some experience with LLM coding tools and agents such as Claude Code, Codex or similar, and you are motivated to use them in your daily engineering work.
• You have good knowledge and understanding of object-oriented principles.
• You have good knowledge and understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• You have experience working with concurrent and multi-tier applications.
• You are recognizing the value of code-review and experience with code testing (unit, integration).
• You have a good understanding of RESTful services.

Nice to have qualifications

• You are familiar with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, Maven, Canary or similar.
• You have an understanding of databases and data management tools like MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka or others.
• You have worked with collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence and Slack.
• You are ready to adopt, implement or propose new technologies.
• You have experience in technologies such as Kotlin, Go, Groovy, Python, Bash, Docker, Kubernetes, Prometheus or others.
