Junior Vessel Operator M/F Contract Type PERMANENT Job Location Africa, Namibia, WALVIS BAY Working Hours Full time Mission Description Responsible for coordinating vessels and port operations on behalf of shipowners, charterers and operators.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with the planning and coordination of vessel port calls.
• Support the booking of berths, vessel services, and cargo operations.
• Liaise with vessel crews, suppliers, port authorities, and service providers.
• Assist in ensuring vessels comply with operational and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate crew changes and shore-based services.
• Support procurement activities in line with company procedures.
• Verify invoices and supporting documentation for accuracy.
• Assist with customer service, stakeholder communication, and operational reporting.
• Support marketing activities and client relationship management.
• Handle administrative tasks relating to vessel agency operations.
• Maintain accurate records and operational documentation. Profile Minimum Requirements
• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a logistics, shipping, transport, supply chain, or related environment.
• Relevant qualification in Logistics, Shipping, Transport Management, Supply Chain or related field will be an added advantage.
• Valid Driver's Licence with a valid PDP.
• Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Basic understanding of customer service principles and practices.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment.
