As Junior Treasury Manager (m/f/d) – Liquidity, FX and Working Capital Optimization, you are an important interface between the Business, Treasury, and Accounting and contribute to strengthening liquidity efficiency and cash flow transparency across our business. Within the Treasury Team, you support the optimization of working capital structures in a highly dynamic energy trading environment.
In this role, you will develop a strong understanding of treasury processes and work closely with operational teams to improve cash flow visibility, support collateral management activities, and enhance process transparency. You will gain valuable insights into liquidity management, foreign exchange exposure, and working capital optimization while contributing to process improvement initiatives across the trading lifecycle.
Support working capital optimization: You contribute to the development of working capital management structures and assist in identifying optimization opportunities across receivables, payables, inventories, and collateral processes.
Support liquidity & collateral management: You assist in monitoring collateral usage across exchanges and bilateral agreements and support liquidity planning activities.
Prepare forecasts & analyses: You support the preparation of short- and medium-term working capital and cash flow forecasts and analyse liquidity impacts under different market scenarios.
Monitor FX exposure: You contribute to the analysis of Group-wide foreign currency exposures and support treasury activities related to liquidity and risk management.
Enhance transparency: You support the development of KPIs, dashboards, and reporting structures to improve visibility and performance tracking.
Contributet process improvements: You participate in automation and digitalization initiatives and help improve the efficiency and transparency of treasury and working capital processes.
Collaborate across functions: You work closely with Sales, Trading, Treasury, Risk, Accounting, and IT teams and support commercial decision-making through financial analysis and reporting.
Educational background: Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
Professional experience: First experience through internships, working student positions, graduate programmes, or initial professional experience in Finance, Treasury, Accounting, or Controlling.
Financial knowledge: Basic understanding of cash flow management, financial analysis, and treasury-related topics.
Systems affinity: Strong interest in ETRM, Treasury Management, and ERP systems, as well as good Excel skills; knowledge of Power BI or Databricks is an advantage.
Analytical capabilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with a structured and data-driven mindset.
Languages: Fluent German and English skills.
Eager to learn: You are curious, enjoy learning new topics, and continuously develop your financial and commercial expertise.
Proactive & Reliable: You take ownership of your tasks, work accurately, and contribute ideas for improvement.
Collaborative: You enjoy working with different stakeholders and communicate clearly and professionally.
