Responsible for raising Institutional funding for the Bank from the Wholesale market. Responsible for covering a portfolio of
clients and generating revenue in accordance with the client set allocated. Build trusted relationships with clients while
delivering service and execution excellence. Constantly update the business with regards to the client’s strategy and
developments. Leverage your client relationships into other areas of the firm to capture cross selling opportunities.
Key Accountabilities Accountability:
Sales Management
Market and sell Money Market instruments to portfolio of clients and generate production according to scale of clients.
Seek to understand client needs and add value to clients by using own knowledge of market.
Keep abreast of developments in Money markets, legislation and statutory requirements.
Selling/trading in order to maximise volume and growth of full basket of products through tele-selling and customer visitation.
Provide end to end servicing of existing customers.
Develop strategies in acquiring new business
Liaise with various departments.
Ensure the administrative portion of the role through data capturing, compiling a quotation, maintaining client data base, draft reports, etc.
Compile proposals on pricing and product for submission to clientele.
Ensure financial transactions, policies and procedures meet Bank objectives and regulatory requirements
Confirms trades with relevant parties
Assist with the onboarding of new clients
Add value to clients by identifying opportunities and influencing clients to deal through us.
Research
Investigate and embark on a continuous market scanning of Local and International peers to identify and stay abreast of market trends and activities to inform opportunities for new or enhanced products and services.
Conduct market analysis in order to attain market intelligence to inform strategies going forward.
Initiate market research relating to the product alignment to client needs, competitors and future trends to ensure sustained profitability for CIBW and competitive advantage.
Engage in networking activities, e.g. attending relevant industry conferences, to stay abreast of changes in the industry, aligning portfolio specific processes, product offering and procedures to absorb the impact of change.
Understand client strategy and update business on such strategy Read internal research generated and highlight relevant sections to clients and team
Stakeholder Engagement
Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external business partners.
Liaise with all business partners to ensure all management information they require is provided to them timeously.
Liaise with Money Market traders.
Education and Experience Required
B Degree in finance or Commerce or equivalent NQF level 6 qualification
3 years’ experience in an Investment Banking/ front office sales environment
