As part of our expanding Trading team, we are seeking a highly motivated Junior Trader to join our dynamic trading desk. As a Junior Trader, the successful candidate will play a key role in managing client activity, executing strategic trades, and supporting the monetization of our trading business. They will gain exposure across multiple desks, including futures, forwards, and physical trading, developing a comprehensive understanding of market dynamics. This is a hands-on, high-impact role, ideal for someone with strong market instincts, analytical thinking, and a desire to build a career in trading.
Client Risk Management
• Internalize client spot trading activity, take directional views, and dynamically position around customer trades to optimize book performance.
Profitability & Monetization Strategy
• Execute monetization strategies by trading against or alongside client activity.
Actively manage exposures across multiple liquidity venues, including OTC and futures markets, to reduce execution risk.
Market Positioning
• Identify and act on short-term market dislocations around key events.
Leverage quantitative insights such as trading patterns, seasonality, and behavioral trends to enhance alpha generation.
Cross-Desk Support
• Support operations and trade execution across futures, forwards, and physical trading desks.
Develop a strong understanding of cross-market interactions and contribute to overall desk performance.
Execution Excellence
• Ensure best execution standards, achieving strong fill ratios, minimal market impact, and consistent pricing to support long-term client relationships.
Team & Culture
• Collaborate closely with the Trading team, share insights, and contribute to the continuous evolution of trading strategies
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
Strong interest in financial markets, commodities, trading, and data analysis.
Familiarity with market structure, order execution, and trading platforms is a plus.
Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
Hong Kong citizen or holder of a valid work visa in Hong Kong
