As a Junior Toxicologist (m/f/d) at Fresenius Kabi, you will support toxicological risk assessments for a broad portfolio of pharmaceutical and medical device products and work closely with international stakeholders in a highly regulated, science-driven environment.
Perform toxicological assessments under the guidance of experienced toxicologists, including the evaluation of impurities, extractables and leachables (E&Ls), active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and excipients
Prepare Maximum Daily Dose (MDD) memos and support the derivation and communication of toxicological limits to relevant stakeholders
Conduct and document Quantitative Structure-Activity Relationship (QSAR) evaluations in line with applicable requirements
Support the toxicological qualification of product deviations and contribute to scientific risk evaluations
Support chemical characterization activities as well as Biological Evaluation Plans (BEPs) and Biological Evaluation Reports (BERs) for medical devices
Contribute to Environmental Risk Assessments and provide scientific input to cross-functional projects
Support activities related to animal welfare topics and internal expert groups
Degree in veterinary medicine, pharmacy, chemistry, biochemistry or a comparable natural or life science discipline, complemented by a PhD
Optional: Master’s degree or additional qualification in toxicology
First experience or strong interest in toxicological risk assessment, pharmaceutical development, medical devices or regulatory toxicology
Basic understanding of scientific evaluation methods and willingness to develop expertise in areas such as E&Ls, APIs, excipients, QSAR and biological evaluation
Structured, precise and quality-oriented working style, with the ability to document scientific conclusions clearly
Strong communication skills and motivation to collaborate with international and cross-functional teams
Fluency in English; German language skills are an advantage
