
About the Role
We are looking for a Junior Team Member, Mergers & Acquisitions to join our team at RHB Bank. In this role, you will support the execution of M&A and Leveraged Acquisition Finance (LAF) transactions through financial analysis, research, and deal support. You will work closely with senior team members on live transactions, contribute to client engagements, and help ensure deals are executed accurately and in line with regulatory and internal requirements.
What you will be doing
Conduct financial modeling and credit analysis to support M&A and LAF transactions.
Perform business and industry research to provide insights that support informed financial and strategic decisions.
Assist in drafting and reviewing term sheets for M&A and LAF deals.
Support due diligence activities to ensure compliance, risk mitigation, and smooth deal execution.
Assist in preparing pitch materials and client presentations.
Develop and maintain client relationships to support deal origination, pitching, and execution.
Support the preparation and review of legal documentation related to M&A and Leveraged Acquisition Finance transactions.
What we’re looking for
Degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field.
CFA or other professional qualifications, and post-graduate degrees, are an added advantage.
3–4 years of relevant experience in M&A, corporate finance, investment banking, or related areas.
Strong numerical skills with the ability to build financial models and a solid understanding of the business environment.
Excellent command of written and spoken English.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, is a must.
Good attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work well in a team-based environment.
