
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Team Member, Management Reporting & Operations to join our team at RHB Asset Management. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting end-to-end payment processing, cash flow operations, financial reporting, and operational controls across RHBAM, RHBIIAM, and branches. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, vendors, banks, and finance teams to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant payment and reporting processes while contributing to operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.
What you will be doing
Manage end-to-end non-trade payment processing and cash flow operations, including agent and IUTA/CUTA commission payments with accurate SBEI reporting
Ensure timely and accurate commission payments to Agents and IUTA in accordance with agreed schedules
Execute vendor and commission payments, including Oracle AP processing, payment tagging, and online/manual fund transfers
Manage invoice processing through CPS and I-Proc systems, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and proper documentation
Prepare foreign currency (FCY) payments and compute withholding tax and service tax for foreign vendors in compliance with tax regulations
Prepare and post accounting journal entries, including payments, accruals, prepayments, provisions, and commissions, while performing bank reconciliations in accordance with accounting standards and company policies
Monitor payment-related operating expenses and manage payment authorization and approval controls
Prepare monthly expense schedules, financial analyses, and provision movement reports while supporting Management Reporting and Group Tax requirements
Respond promptly and professionally to ad-hoc payment requests and stakeholder queries
Monitor e-invoicing validation and AP reconciliations to ensure data accuracy and compliance
Liaise with internal stakeholders, banks, and vendors on payment matters while supporting Agile initiatives and continuous process improvements
Maintain strong expertise in payment documentation, operational processes, and control activities
Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and established financial controls
Adhere to functional standards and best practices while continuously driving process improvements and operational efficiencies
Demonstrate the ability to work effectively under pressure with strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related disciplines
1-3 years of experience in finance operations, payment processing, accounts payable, management reporting, or related functions
Knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, and payment operations
Familiarity with Oracle AP, CPS, I-Proc, or similar financial systems is an added advantage
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines
Good communication and stakeholder management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
Proactive, adaptable, and able to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
Strong understanding of compliance, operational controls, and regulatory requirements within financial services environments
