We've revitalised a landmark restaurant in Midleton, and The Fork & Wheel is looking for a passionate and motivated Junior Sous Chef to join our growing kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Chef de Partie who's ready to take the next step in their career, working alongside an experienced Head Chef and Sous Chef while developing the leadership skills needed for future progression.

Please note: The Fork & Wheel is located at P25 DP60, which is not served by public transportation. Your own transport or a reliable means of getting to and from the restaurant is essential.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen.

• Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes to our consistently high standards.

• Taking ownership of your section during service while ensuring quality and consistency.

• Assisting with menu preparation and contributing ideas for new dishes and specials.

• Helping to lead and motivate the kitchen team during busy services.

• Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment.

• Following all food safety and hygiene procedures to the highest standard.

• Assisting with stock rotation, stock control, and deliveries.

• Supporting the training and development of junior kitchen team members.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie, Senior Chef de Partie, or Junior Sous Chef within a busy restaurant or hospitality environment.

• A genuine passion for producing high-quality food.

• A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to perform under pressure.

• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

• A solid understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.

• Someone who takes pride in their work and wants to build a long-term career in hospitality.
