At Netcompany, a Junior Software Engineer/Consultant is not only building software — they are shaping solutions, advising clients, and driving digital transformation across Europe.

You will combine hands-on development with client advisory responsibilities, working at the intersection of technology and business.

Based in Athens, you will contribute to international projects, while growing into a trusted technology advisor.

As a Junior Software Engineer/Consultant you will:

• Contribute to all phases of full-cycle IT projects — from requirements analysis and solution design to customization, development, UAT support, and user training
• Collaborate directly with clients to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications
• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using modern technologies (e.g., Java, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript) and frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, .NET, React, Angular)
• Work across both backend and frontend layers, as well as integration points within complex enterprise systems
• Implement CRM/CX solutions and integrate them into enterprise environments
• Act as a business advisor by identifying improvement opportunities and proposing innovative solutions
• Lead sub-streams of work, conduct daily stand-ups, and report progress to clients or project managers
• Build long-term client relationships based on trust and technical excellence
• Identify business development opportunities within existing accounts
• Produce clear technical and functional documentation
• Support knowledge sharing and mentor more junior team members as you grow in the role

Qualifications

What would make you a fit for the role:

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
• A customer-oriented mindset and genuine interest in understanding how businesses operate
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal), with the confidence to interact with clients and stakeholders
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate in cross-functional and international environments
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results
• A proactive attitude, ownership mentality, and willingness to take initiative
• Availability to travel when required
