Job Description

EATON is hiring a Junior Service Digital Integration Solution Engineer in Zaragoza.

Why this role matters

Our Digital Integration Solutions team has 20+ years of experience deploying and supporting mission-critical digital power management software for data centres, industrial sites, and commercial buildings across EMEA. As a Service Digital Integration Solution Engineer, you will be at the heart of that work — designing, deploying, and supporting the systems that keep critical infrastructure running safely and efficiently.

What you’ll do:

  • Support Sales teams in defining and clarifying the technical scope of software-based projects, contributing to initial solution design for EPMS, DCIM, SCADA, PSA, Microgrid and Energy Management System solutions across data centers, industrial facilities and commercial buildings.
  • Develop technical solution designs under the supervision of Senior/Lead Engineers, including initial system architecture, system topology and network connection drawings, hardware Bills of Materials (BOM), proposed project schedules and detailed solution descriptions for projects across EMEA.
  • Produce, review, update and maintain engineering documentation and project drawings, including network connectivity and architecture drawings for EPMS projects using AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio, and support Senior/Lead Engineers in validating engineering deliverables.
  • Coordinate software deployment, integration and testing activities, working with Senior/Lead Engineers and supporting on-site execution when required. Contribute to the definition of software deployment method statements and validation criteria for execution by local teams, third-party partners or directly by the Software Engineer.
  • Collaborate with Eaton technical teams and third-party partners to coordinate and submit engineering deliverables within the project scope for review and validation by Senior Engineers.
  • Work closely with Sales and Project Management teams throughout project execution to manage scope variations, identify and communicate technical risks, and propose appropriate risk mitigation actions to Senior Engineers.
  • Support Senior/Lead Engineers in resolving Level 3 software technical support requests escalated by the central technical support team within the Engineer’s area of expertise.
  • Support internal and external technical presentations, solution promotion and training initiatives, working alongside Senior/Lead Engineers to communicate the capabilities and technical aspects of Eaton’s digital software solutions.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement and standardization of engineering deliverables, processes and tools within the Engineering Services team, while actively developing technical expertise through required annual safety training, internal and external courses, Eaton University and third-party training programs.
  • Support project execution activities requiring direct customer or site interaction, including site visits, face-to-face and online customer meetings, software deployment activities and other project needs, with flexibility to travel as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master Degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science/Power management/Electrical engineering/Automation subjects;
  • Master's degree in Computer Science and Automation engineering from an accredited institution.

Skills:

  • Technical Drawing & Design Tools: Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio for creating and updating technical, network and system architecture drawings.
  • Electrical & Digital Systems Knowledge: Good understanding of power distribution systems, including MV/LV switchgear, transformers, UPS, EPMS and DCIM systems.
  • Automation & Software Knowledge: Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, network infrastructure, IED programming and logic control concepts. Experience with Power System Automation, Energy/Power Management Systems and DCIM software is an advantage.
  • Communication & International Collaboration: Strong team player with fluent written and spoken English, intercultural awareness, and flexibility to collaborate with colleagues, vendors and subcontractors across different time zones, including North America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Australia.
  • Integrity & Customer Focus: High level of personal integrity and professional ethics, with a commitment to doing business the right way, combined with a responsive, solution-oriented “can-do” attitude, particularly when supporting RFQs.
  • Safety Mindset: Strong commitment to health and safety, with the confidence to stop unsafe practices or activities, even when this may impact other important project deliverables.
