Job Title: - Junior Service Engineer – Digital. This position will be based at SK Mine.
Purpose of Role: - To support the digital hardware and telemetry ecosystem (SANDVIK) at site under, ensuring basic hardware upkeep, data collection, and first-line issue reporting for New Machines’ digital system.
Ensure all reasonable steps are taken to maintain a safe & healthy work environment for self and others at the workplace. Comply with Sandvik & HZL safety standards as mentioned in the contract. Report any incident or accident to Reporting Manager. Assist the team in execution of daily/weekly hardware maintenance checks as per the plan. Support installation and commissioning of digital hardware (docking station, cables, connectors, sensors, etc.) on new machines, under direct supervision of Digital System Specialist. Perform basic troubleshooting of associated hardware components (docking station, cables, connectors, nuts & bolts) – not the main hardware unit, which stays with OEM/Factory. Assist in collecting Production Drill Telemetry data on a fortnight basis, ensuring accuracy and timely upload/reporting. Immediately report any hardware damage noticed during daily checks to the Shift In charge/Manager. Maintain accurate logs/records of daily activities, checks, and data collection for review by seniors. Escalate any connectivity data, or configuration issues to the Specialist/Service-Engineer promptly rather than attempting unsupervised fixes on main system.
