Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the HKSAR Government in combatting illegal gambling.

The Division

The Sports Business Division is central to the Club’s overall aspiration to become a globally recognised sports and entertainment brand, with world-class horse racing at its core. The Division’s overarching focus is to deliver sustainable growth of the Club’s sports business, deepen customer engagement, and contribute to position the Club as a leading global sports and entertainment brand to enable its commitment to social betterment. Its strategy is delivered through three pillars: broadening the fan base and prospecting new customers, growing the sports wagering business, and building the Club’s brand and commercialising its assets.

Job Summary

The job holder plays a critical role in facilitating daily testing operations and ensuring the quality of software systems across various projects.

The job holder involves close collaboration with different teams to analyze user requirements, support system implementation, and provide ongoing testing support to ensure seamless operations across all betting channels and functions.

Key functions include managing testing activities, documenting results, and participating in continuous improvement efforts to enhance testing processes.

The Job

• Interpret user requirements and comprehend systems documentation on new business features and enhancements
• Develop test cases for execution under physical or virtual testing environment
• Conduct UAT to validate the enhancements are incorporated according to user requirement and fit for user/business operations, and prepare test reports
• Develop and maintains automation tools for User Acceptance Test
• Undertake other duties as assigned by supervisor

About You

• Diploma or above in computer science, business administration or related disciplines
• Minimum one year of experience in digital, operations or testing field. Fresh Graduates are welcome
• Strong analytical, communication, documentation and problem-solving skills with mature business acumen
• Proficiency in both written and spoken Chinese (both Cantonese and Mandarin) and English
• Experience in Python, XML, Visual Basic, Java & C# an advantage
• Knowledge with the Club’s horse racing, football and lottery business is definitely an advantage
• Candidates with project management experience are preferred
• The position is open to candidates at Assistant to Assistant Manager level. The final job title will be determined based on the candidate's seniority and relevant experience
