The Junior Sales Liaison supports the commercial team by ensuring smooth coordination between clients, Sales, S&OP, Customer Service, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations. This role focuses on operational execution, accurate communication, and internal alignment. The position helps maintain day-to-day account activities, supports Key Account Managers (KAMs) and Manager Sales Liaisons, and contributes to the overall customer experience and commercial performance.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Client Relationship & Account Support
    • Act as a daily operational point of contact for clients, ensuring timely responses and smooth onboarding.
    • Maintain professional working relationships with client operational stakeholders.
    • Provide administrative and coordination support to KAMs and Manager Sales Liaisons, including CRM updates and follow-ups.
  1. Sales & S&OP Coordination
    • Support forecast updates, pipeline visibility, and demand accuracy for S&OP processes.
    • Participate in internal meetings to align on supply availability and customer needs.
    • Help improve CRM data quality, contract documentation, and basic sales reporting.
  1. Operational Coordination & Supply Chain Alignment
    • Coordinate with Customer Service to ensure accurate Purchase Orders and on-time delivery.
    • Assist Quality Assurance with routine quality documentation and client requests.
    • Support logistics, product availability monitoring, and internal communication on supply risks.
  1. Account Growth, Renewal & Engagement
    • Identify simple growth opportunities and escalate to the commercial team.
    • Support the preparation of business reviews and contract renewals.
    • Maintain awareness of client program changes that may affect demand.
  1. Scientific & Technical Feedback Routing
    • Capture client feedback and route scientific or technical questions to internal experts.
    • Monitor follow-up status to ensure closure of client requests.
  1. Internal Collaboration & Development
    • Collaborate across Sales, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations to ensure aligned client support.
    • Participate in internal projects and training to build commercial and operational capabilities.
  1. Other duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Maintain CRM accuracy and assist with documentation.
  • Prepare basic client materials (summaries, schedules, reports).
  • Support internal follow-ups across Sales, Quality, Supply Chain, S&OP and Customer Service.
  • Contribute to process and communication improvements.
  • Provide backup support to other Sales Liaisons when needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Basic understanding of supply chain, orders, or quality processes (training provided).
  • Ability to learn CRM and ERP tools; good Excel/PowerPoint skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset and willingness to escalate issues.
  • Team player, comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Life Sciences, Supply Chain, or related).
  • Experience in pharma/biotech or CRM/ERP systems is a plus.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service, sales support, or operations.

Occupational Demands:

Occupational Demands Form # 3: Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment. Frequently sits for 6-8 hours per day. Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Frequently walks. Occasionally bends and twists neck. Light to moderate lifting and carrying objects with a maximum lift of 25lbs. Able to communicate complex information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Frequently interacts with others, relates sensitive information to diverse groups. Ability to apply abstract principles to solve complex conceptual issues. Performs a wide range of complex tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence.
