Job Description

fusionSpan is a dynamic hybrid and remote work environment that prioritizes innovation, trust, and community in everything we do. We are a team of highly-committed individuals inspired by technology’s impact on society, and we recognize our work’s role in the well-being of our clients and the communities they serve.

As an AI-first organization, we keep our eyes tuned to the horizon, finding new ways to leverage cutting-edge technologies in ways that drive improvements in operational efficiency and impact, both for our clients and for our internal team. This means every fusionSpan employee has the opportunity to develop genuine AI skills; learning by doing, on real work that matters.

As a Junior Resource Manager at fusionSpan, you will support the day-to-day deployment of our global delivery team across a fast-moving portfolio of Salesforce implementations and Managed Services engagements. Working closely with senior resource management leadership, you will serve as an essential operational link between Sales, the PMO, and Delivery. Your primary focus will be maintaining the absolute accuracy of our resource management systems, ensuring all skills inventories and availability data are up-to-date, and generating the key utilization reports senior leadership needs to make staffing decisions. This is a highly organized, hands-on administrative role for someone who is energized by scheduling logistics, loves problem-solving, and is absolutely obsessive about data integrity and cleanliness in our internal systems.

You will be working remotely with US-based team members on the US shift.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an accurate, forward-looking view of team capacity and demand in Salesforce by creating and maintaining resource requests for upcoming opportunities, and surfacing bench risk, over-allocation, and skill gaps to senior resource managers before they become delivery issues.
  • Monitor incoming staffing requests or resource helpdesk queues, ensuring all necessary details (skills needed, timeline, budget) are filled out before passing them to the senior manager.
  • Prepare for a weekly resource planning meeting and publish the current allocation picture.
  • Monitor the master schedule to proactively identify and flag potential over-allocations, double-bookings, or bench time to senior team members.
  • Regularly update resource profiles, skills inventories, availability trackers, and project assignments based on leadership inputs.
  • Compile historical staffing data to help senior leadership identify trends in hiring needs or skills gaps.
  • Coordinate the system setup for incoming staff, ensuring they are correctly profiled and assigned to the proper resource pools.
  • Routinely audit time-tracking software and resource management tools to ensure team members are logging hours accurately and allocations match actuals.
  • Run weekly and monthly utilization, bench, and capacity reports from the system to present to senior Resource Managers for analysis.
  • Reach out to project managers or team leads to gather weekly status updates regarding project timelines and changing resource needs.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal team members regarding basic system troubleshooting or questions about their assigned allocations.
  • Update and organize shared team repositories, process documentation, and templates related to resource allocation guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of resource management, workforce planning, or staffing experience in a professional services, consulting, or systems integrator environment.
  • Demonstrated experience matching consultants or engineers to projects based on skills, availability, and engagement needs.
  • Working knowledge of professional services operations: utilization, billable vs. non-billable time, project margin, forecasting, and pipeline.
  • Hands-on experience with a Professional Services Automation (PSA) tool — Certinia/FinancialForce, Kantata, OpenAir, Mavenlink, or similar.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills; comfortable working in spreadsheets, dashboards, and PSA reports to spot trends and tell a clear story with data.
  • A proven track record of catching data entry errors and maintaining meticulous records.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to push back constructively on PMs and practice leads.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to hold many moving pieces in mind simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience resourcing across both project-based Implementation work and ongoing Managed Services/support engagements in a consulting environment.
  • Familiarity with the Salesforce ecosystem (or another enterprise CRM/AMS ecosystem) and the typical project roles involved in delivering it.
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams across multiple time zones (US, LATAM, Europe, India).
  • Comfort using AI tools in day-to-day work to accelerate analysis, drafting, and reporting.
