
The NYU Stern Marketing Department seeks a highly skilled and motivated individual for a full-time Junior Research Scientist position for a period of one year.
The Junior Research Scientist will work with faculty members at NYU Stern’s Marketing Department. The research projects are at the boundary between Business Analytics/Quantitative Marketing and Industrial Organization.

The work requires strong data science skills to scrape, prepare, maintain, manipulate, and analyze the data. The Junior Research Scientist will also conduct extensive statistical analyses. A successful applicant will not only perform assigned tasks, but eventually develop increasing levels of independent thinking and creativity.
The Junior Research Scientist will start at the beginning of August or September 2026, though earlier start dates will be considered. Applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis, with applications submitted by July 16 receiving full consideration.
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $51,700 - $61,500. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.
