Job Description

Recruitment Consultant | Build Your Career

If you’ve built your career in door-to-door or outbound sales, you already have the hardest part: resilience, drive and the ability to handle rejection.

This role gives you the structure, training and career path to turn that into a professional, high-earning recruitment career.

Join Tradewind Australia’s Social Services division on a 12-month contract, supporting a growing desk with strong demand and real opportunity to convert into a permanent role.

About the Role

This is not an admin or support role. You’ll be trained to operate as a Junior Recruitment Consultant, learning both candidate management and the foundations of business development.

  • Source, engage and interview candidates across the social services sector
  • Build and manage your own candidate pipelines
  • Match candidates to live vacancies and support placements
  • Manage the candidate journey from first call through to placement
  • Learn how to qualify jobs and work with client requirements
  • Develop skills in outbound activity and relationship building
  • Maintain CRM discipline and pipeline accuracy

Over time, you’ll build toward full 360 recruitment capability, including client ownership and revenue generation.

What we’re looking for

We are not looking for polished recruiters. We are looking for people who can sell, hustle and stay consistent.

  • Background in door-to-door sales, outbound sales or high-volume customer roles
  • Comfortable being on the phone and handling rejection daily
  • Competitive mindset and target-driven attitude
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • High energy, accountability and willingness to learn
  • Motivated to build a long-term career in recruitment

If you’ve worked in environments where performance is measured daily, you’ll fit.

What’s in it for you

You’re an experienced agency recruiter who thrives in a commercial environment and enjoys building relationships from the ground up.

  • $68,000 – $73,000 base salary
  • Uncapped commission structure
  • 12-month contract with potential pathway to permanent
  • Structured training into recruitment and sales
