About HeadQuarters

Headquarters is a global start-up that partners with US cannabis companies to provide support in finance, sales operations, logistics, and digital marketing. Our team’s unique expertise enables us to drive innovation in this rapidly developing industry.

We are looking for a motivated and eager Junior Recruiter or Talent Acquisition Intern to join our team on a 6-month contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their HR or recruitment career who wants to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced global start-up.

You will support our recruitment efforts by sourcing candidates, screening applications, and helping coordinate the full hiring process. While this role is entry-level, we are looking for someone with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn.

This is a 6-month contract with a genuine possibility of transitioning into a permanent Junior Recruiter role based on your performance and contribution to the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sourcing Support: Assist in sourcing candidates using various methods, including job boards, LinkedIn, social media, and online communities, to help build a strong candidate pipeline.
  • Screening & Coordination: Review resumes and job applications, schedule interviews, and coordinate communication between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Administrative Support: Maintain accurate recruitment data in our systems and help prepare regular progress reports for the team.
  • Employer Branding: Act as a brand ambassador—professionally representing the company and ensuring a positive candidate experience at every touchpoint.
  • Learning & Collaboration: Work closely with senior recruiters and hiring managers to understand role requirements and support an efficient, impartial recruitment process.
  • Admin and business partnering activities.

Requirements

  • Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • Interest in Recruitment: Genuine interest in talent acquisition and people operations. Previous internship or volunteer experience in recruitment/HR is a plus, but not required.
  • Language: Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using social media (especially LinkedIn) and basic recruitment tools. Familiarity with Google Workspace or MS Office is a plus.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with candidates and team members.
  • Organizational Skills: Structured and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Start-up Mindset: Proactive, adaptable, and willing to learn in a dynamic, fast-changing environment.
  • Team Player: Open to feedback and able to build cooperative working relationships.

Benefits

What we guarantee in return for your support during this contract:

  • Path to Permanency: This is a 6-month contract with a clear path to a permanent Junior Recruiter role based on performance and business growth.
  • Making an Impact: Your ideas and initiatives will be welcomed and valued. You’ll have the chance to actively contribute to improving our HR processes.
  • Learning and Development: Personalized guidance and mentorship from our experienced recruitment team and in-house L&D advisor/consultant.
  • Industry Leading Opportunities: Gain experience in a pioneering, fast-growing industry by collaborating with major players in the US cannabis sector, all within a multinational global start-up environment.
  • Performance-Based Growth: Opportunities for salary adjustments based on regular performance reviews.
  • Wellness & Perks: Access online yoga sessions and English classes with our dedicated internal instructors.
  • Flexible Remote Work: Enjoy the flexibility of working 100% remotely from anywhere.

Looking forward to meeting you!
