This role will work closely with Senior Recruiters and Hiring Managers, primarily supporting early careers recruitment (internships and graduate roles), with occasional exposure to mid-level technical roles.

The successful candidate will have prior recruitment experience and be confident operating with a degree of autonomy whilst knowing when to seek guidance. Whilst we can offer some flexible working, the job holder will be required to work onsite in our Cambridge office.

  • Make informed decisions on whether candidates should progress or be rejected at application stage
  • Ensure a fair, consistent, and inclusive approach to CV screening

Interview Coordination & Preparation

  • Attend internal briefing meetings prior to candidate interviews
  • Ensure interview panels are fully briefed on:
  • The candidate’s background
  • The role being interviewed for
  • Panel member roles and responsibilities
  • Provide feedback and requirements to Senior Recruiters to support effective interview scheduling and delivery

Candidate Communication

  • Manage rejection communications for candidates who have completed a first-stage interview but are not progressing
  • Act as a point of contact for candidates during early recruitment stages, responding to queries professionally and promptly

Stakeholder Management

  • Handle early-stage recruitment queries from internal stakeholders (e.g. hiring managers)
  • Provide clear, accurate guidance on recruitment processes and timelines
  • Escalate complex issues appropriately to Senior Recruiters

Systems & Administration

  • Manage candidate records accurately within the ATS
  • Ensure recruitment activity is compliant with internal processes and data protection requirements

Focus Areas

  • Predominantly early careers recruitment, including:
  • Internships
  • Graduate roles
  • Roles are primarily technical/STEM in nature
  • Occasional support on mid-level technical roles as required

Required Experience & Skills

Essential

  • Proven experience working in recruitment, ideally in-house
  • Experience recruiting for early careers and/or technical (STEM) roles
  • Confidence in CV screening and early-stage decision making
  • Ability to work independently, using initiative while recognising when to seek advice
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and priorities

Desirable

  • Experience using Greenhouse ATS (or similar applicant tracking systems)
  • Prior experience working closely with hiring managers and interview panels

Personal Attributes

  • Detail-oriented with strong judgement
  • Professional, confident, and approachable
  • Organised and able to manage competing demands
