The role of R&D Physicist involves active participation in the development on early-stage development of new physical concepts towards Magnus’s next-generation machine. The role combines multiphysics simulation (e.g., COMSOL, ANSYS, or similar) with hands-on laboratory work to support proof-of-concept activities. The position requires strong physical intuition, structured modeling capabilities, and the ability to translate simulation results into experimentally testable designs. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic physicist with a passion for advancing innovative technologies and a strong commitment to close collaboration with multidisciplinary development teams.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Develop and execute multiphysics simulations of emerging technologies.
· Perform parametric studies and validate models against experimental data.
· Support transition from simulation to early proof-of-concept prototypes.
· Design and conduct laboratory experiments for model validation.
· Identify, analyze, and resolve physical challenges during development.
Qualifications
· PhD in Physics (mandatory).
· Demonstrated capability in building and validating multiphysics models (COMSOL, ANSYS, or similar), developed during PhD studies or industry position,
· Simulation addressing heat transfer or Laser.
· Hands-on laboratory experience.
· Open minded.
· Strong interrelationships capabilities.
· Self driven, independent, delivery oriented.
· Programming skills (Python, MATLAB, or similar) – advantage
