Our client is a well-established fit-out contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality commercial and interior projects across Ireland. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their Wexford-based team.
The successful candidate will support senior commercial staff across a range of fast-paced fit-out projects. Hybrid working is available following onboarding and initial training. This role would suit someone early in their career who is looking to develop their technical and commercial skills within a busy contractor environment.
Responsibilities
• Assist with preparing cost estimates and project budgets
• Support the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
• Measure and value works completed on site
• Assist with subcontractor accounts and payment applications
• Monitor project costs and support cost reporting processes
• Prepare and maintain accurate commercial documentation
• Liaise with project managers, site teams and suppliers
• Support the preparation of final accounts
• Ensure commercial activities are completed in line with project timelines
Requirements
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics
• 1+ years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role or placement
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Good communication and organisational ability
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and standard office software
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel to sites if required
