Status: 4-Month Contract, Full-Time. Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Expected to end on/before August 29, 2026

About the Position

ATS Traffic is currently looking for a Junior Purchasing Student to join our business! Working closely with the Supply Chain team, this role is an excellent introduction to the Supply Chain field whereby you will gain valuable, real-world experience. This role will be responsible for identifying new opportunities to reduce purchasing costs, mitigate supply risks, and achieve best value.

Responsibilities

  • Consult, liaise, and develop strong relationships with internal customers, suppliers, and vendors;
  • Sourcing materials and services, researching new products and suppliers when necessary;
  • Competitive tendering and negotiation of goods and services to ensure best value;
  • Ensure proper receiving of materials using landed cost module;
  • Compile data and communicate targets and goals as required;
  • Set-up, evaluate and improve suppliers’ lead time;
  • Provide coverage for Supply Chain Team when necessary;
  • Assist on research and project assignments; research negotiations, trends and economic analysis;

  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in a post-secondary education program with a specialization in Supply Chain or a related field.
    • Preference will be given to 3rd or 4th year students who have completed related courses.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities at once.
  • Previous experience with Power BI, Business Central, and SalesPad are definite assets.
  • Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office 365 Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
